This past year has been memorable for the Neals, to say the least. God provided a unique opportunity to spend this season in the beautiful town of St. Andrews, Scotland.
Jordan has embraced the vital work of shaping our boys’ minds and characters, and broadening their understanding of the world through a rich and thoughtful homeschool curriculum. Her daily investment in their education and formation during this pivotal season will, we believe, leave an indelible mark on both their present growth and their future paths. In the meantime, I have pursued an MLitt in Sacred Music at the University of St Andrews, delving deeply into the sacred music tradition of the Western Christian church with the goal of gaining a clearer understanding of its roots and cultivating a renewed vision for its future.
Jordan and I have lived in the UK once before and have always dreamed of traveling and sharing this part of the world with our boys to help cultivate well-rounded worldviews from an early age. This year has been a profound gift. Moments of deep connection and a more spacious schedule has allowed time for reflection, growth, and a more intentional pursuit of our callings and convictions. The beautiful and historic richness surrounding us has been constant reminder of God’s goodness and provision.
We’ve enjoyed the challenge that this year has presented academically, contextually, and spiritually. As this chapter comes to a close, we are looking forward with great anticipation to the next step in our journey of ministry.
